Position Summary

The IT Support Specialist provides Tier 1 user support and plays a critical role in servicing, maintaining, and deploying technology solutions across the company. This position supports both onsite and remote users and travels to regional locations to ensure seamless IT service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 1 technical support to users for hardware, software, and peripheral issues.
  • Assist with deployment, upgrades, and maintenance of computer systems and software.
  • Travel up to 50% to regional locations to deliver onsite IT services and support.
  • Maintain and manage inventory of regional IT assets.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, escalating when necessary.
  • Use remote tools, phone, chat, and in-person support to troubleshoot effectively.
  • Document incidents and resolutions using the Help Desk ticketing system.
  • Prioritize and follow up on user issues to ensure resolution and satisfaction.
  • Participate in special IT projects as assigned.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree in IT or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 1 year of professional experience in IT support.
  • Proficiency with MS Windows, Active Directory, and G Suite.
  • Experience with imaging and deployment tools such as Norton Ghost and Lansweeper.
  • Working knowledge of RF mobile devices used for inventory or order processing.
  • Understanding of PC hardware, software, and networking fundamentals.
  • Ability to lift and move equipment up to 25 lbs. and travel regionally with a clean driving record.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certifications such as A+, Network+, Microsoft MCP, or ITIL Foundations.
  • Familiarity with IT asset management best practices.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

  • Onsite and field-based support role with regular travel to regional locations.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs. and safely operate a company vehicle.
